The Window

Patina# daily prompt # season 4# attempt 34

The grey patina covering the windows
That open towards past
Not allowing me view clearly
Obscuring my vision
The best parts of that side of life!

I try to imagine them
Still as green as they were
Sounds reach my ears
Filtering through all those years
Happy, laughing, cheerful sounds
Sometimes if feels scary too
As that all is ghostly now

I blame the window and it’s glass
For not being clean enough
To let me see clearly
Then find it’s not window
But my vision which is blur
By all disturbance in my mind
Standing here, I want to reach there
Where no window can take
Let memories be memories
I try to explain myself

But walking steadily seems
So painful now
With my tired steps
Maybe I need new motivation
New sunrise
A brand new life
Free of agony and pain

Dear heart Let’s walk once again
To make garden of this side
Green and bright
So that when years after
Someone like me
Will look back
Window could present
A colourful delight
A happy sight!

  1. A fight for many, the other side seems tempting indeed. But I feel we should try to let go of every past even if it’s just yesterday. That’s the only way to be fully in now and take control. I try for doing same. When we take birth as a child, the past life is forgotten for a reason well known to God and for the same reason we should let go of every phase. Since I am saying too much of let go so this song for you
