I Need A Little Help!

Roots#Daily Prompt#Season 2#Attempt 44

It is pitch dark here
And I am fearful
I need some help
Only if you could hear
Though my words
Not coming out
From my mouth
Crying out loud
Is my soul’s voice
Trying to reach out
But shallow is it’s sound
This darkness has engulfed me
Eating away my sanity
I am hiding in a cocoon
Of loneliness
All alone
Here I am all alone!
They call this land
A depression zone!
Where is the world?
From where I belong!
Where are my Roots ?
Where is my town?
Like an alien
I am wandering around
Not finding any connection
With right or wrong!
Please don’t leave me here
All by myself
I need a little help
I need a little help
To reach back to my happiness
To be that child once again
Who used to smile
And laughed so often
In every little while!
I want to find myself
I need to come out
From this dead end
I need your help!
I need a little help!

  1. Great lines Meenakshi !!
I believe being around people and interacting, going out, socialising with people can cheer oneself up and loneliness can pull someone down in this pit.
It’s good that you talked about this issue.

  2. Soulfully written. Painful and true from inside I can see. I was there not long ago – exact place. It’s awful. With support of a fee close people who love me, therapy, and meds, I’m on my way back to me. I’m glad you are getting it out – writing is cathartic. Depression is a life long battle for some of us. Keep reaching out and keep writing. We are all here – a keystroke away . ā¤ļø

  3. You have certainly captured how people in this situation feel. Most people don’t know who to reach out to or are too fearful or depressed to do so. I’m not sure what the answer is though. Have a lovely day.
