These Bonds

This is a very old poem, which I found in one of my old diary. I have written this in 1993 when I was a college student. Reading this reminds me of those days which were so happy and carefree.  When we used to see life through coloured glassess. Life was a fairy tale and I was full of positivity and enthusiasm! I must say those were the days! 🙂

Sharing this poem here. With its latest English translation below it-

Here is its translated version of the above poem-

These bonds are adorable to me

As heavy eyes with sleep believes

In all kinds of dreams it see

In the same way I too adore

These bonds of body and soul!

The sky seems tied up with the earth

With strong bonds of fragile thread

Rising Sun is too attatched with

A fresh morning and a new birth

Bonds of weary buildings of body with souls

Which we keep decorating with new hopes

In the same way I too adore

These bonds of body and soul !

Bonds of dark clouds with falling rain

Saves the thirsty earth from pain

Bonds of moon with its silver shine

Give new dreams to our open eyes

Falling leaves of trees in autumn

Gets renewed in spring season

In the same way I too adore

These bonds of body and soul!

Lost in memories of yesterday

We decorate dreams for coming days

While attaching itself with new shores

Life keeps moving with its flow

Within peace of peaceful waves

How many storms silently lays

In the same way I too adore

These bonds of body and soul!

The answers to life’s unsolved riddle

Are hidden as musk inside a deer

While tied up with strings of incoming breathes

We are aware death is just away few steps

Still we get attatched to this perishing world

In the same way I too adore

These bonds of body and soul!

As one little flame in earthen lamp

Can fight darkness to bring its end

But when this lamp gets destroy

It is no more than ordinary soil

By reshaping this priceless soil

We can lit numerous flames with lamps

In the same way I too adore

These bonds of body and soul!

  1. You’re one who should be adhored with beautiful words of poetry . Or a poem should be written in praise of writing skills.

Though I am poor in writing them so I use simple words to make you realize you are beyond appreciation.

I don’t know you fall in love with self or not but you deserve to loved by eternal self. Which is within you.

    Have great time.

      1. I have a love for exploring other languages, even though I am not fluent in any of them. It is just something I took an interest in a long time when I saw some Sanskrit for the very first time. There are some languages that are just so stunning. Hindi is one of them! I can’t read it, but it looked familiar. The two languages together, though, add a lot of depth to your posts. I love your blog already!

        1. Wow! Thank you so much! Im so happy you liked my poems. Sanskrit is one of the oldest language. Enrich and deep! Hindi too is as beautiful. Our mother tongue! If you ever need any help in both of these languages you can ask me!
