With motherly pride
And a shine in her eyes
Grains in her beak
With a perfection she feeds
Her little young birdies
Though no one has trained her
Still she knows
The art of being a mother…

Beautiful and very true: I remember our pet bird used to lay eggs and she took such great care of them (nothing happened, of course – there was no male bird involved so the eggs were empty). It’s amazing how nature works 🙂 Thanks for this!
